My Story
How I Started
Photography had always been an interest of mine, since high school.  Over the years I
have taken various photography courses and experimented with different things on my
own.  I would continually take pictures of my children and my nieces and nephews using
these pictures to create photo greeting cards, to send to family and friends etc.  I also
photographed several weddings for friends and other family members.

The opportunity arose for me to quit my job in the medical field, and although I was
more than ready for that, I knew I still wanted to continue to have my own income.
While deciding what I wanted to do, I kept coming back to my love of photography. I
love to be behind the camera, and what better job to have than one you love.   With the
encouragement and support of my family I started Images by Dawn, Inc.
Mission Statement
My goal is to offer quality photography at competitive prices.  I also strive to offer customer service to my clients that
exceeds that of any other photographer in the area.
How I work.
In keeping with my goal of quality photography at competitive prices I have my studio in my home, by doing this I do not
have the overhead many of the other studios have.  I also post all photographs online, rather than have them printed.  By
doing this, I am able to keep my printing costs low, printing off only those photographs that the client wants.  This also
allows the client to look at their proofs at their convenience rather than needing to make an appointment.  If the client does
not have Internet access, I will set up a time for them to come to my office to look at the proofs on line.

I shoot both film and digital.  While I prefer digital, I will shoot film if the customer so wishes.  The benefits of digital are that
I can take many more pictures than what I would take with film, because of the simple fact that I don't have to stop and
reload the camera with film.  This offers the client many more choices when it comes to picking out the photographs for
their package.  I am also able to know right at the moment the picture is taken if eyes are open, the subject(s) is looking at the
camera, etc
How to maneuver the site...
I have tried to find a way to make my website more user friendly.  So I have removed the client proof page and the
Photography types page.  In their place I have a Wedding info/Album page, a Seniors / Album page and a Portraits / Album
page.  You will find the album you are looking for on the respective pages.  I have also included a picture of myself, for those
clients who will be meeting me for the 1st time at a park, or coffee shop for a meeting, or shoot.  If you are not sure where
to find what you are looking for feel free to
contact me.
